SANBORN — William D. Beckwith, of
Sanborn, NY, passed away on Tuesday,
Mr. Beckwith served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He moved to the
Sanborn area in 1960's. Mr. Beckwith was a master mechanic with the Niagara
Wheatfield School District for 10 years and worked with various business in the
area. He was a F&A Mason in Tampa, Florida and enjoyed fishing and metal
detecting.
Mr. Beckwith is survived by his wife of 65 years, Laura J. (Craft) Beckwith;
one son, William G. (Robin) Beckwith of Wilson, NY; three daughters, Gloria
(James) Hosmer of Springhill, FL, Mary (James Baney) Robins of Lewiston, NY and
Denise (Robert) Josey of Newfane, NY; two sons-in-law, Kenneth Robins and
Charles Blake; three sisters-in-law, Maude, Akiko and Carol Beckwith; also
survived by twelve grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was the grandfather of the Bill Landsberry; and brother of the late Lester,
Robert, James, Raymond and David Beckwith, Ettibelle Hudson.
The family will be present on Thursday from 4-6 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME,
5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, where a Masonic Service will be held at
