Virginia Lee 'Jenny' Josey, 81,
passed away on May 30, 2020 after a brief illness. She was a Lewiston, NY
resident, who spent part of the year in Tavares, FL. Jenny was born on
Christmas Day, December 25, 1938 in Bradford, PA.
Her family moved to Niagara Falls, NY when she was a young girl. She
attended Niagara Falls High School. Jenny worked for a number of years at
Ambassador Leather Goods and later at Dearhead Mobile Homes, both in Niagara
Falls. She was married to Jack Lee Josey in 1956. Together, they had five
children. Jenny was a championship bowler and she loved playing Poker and
Euchre. She was a devoted fan of the Buffalo Bills and the Buffalo Sabres, but
she loved watching all professional football and hockey games. Jenny was a
devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.
Jenny
was predeceased by her beloved mother, Iva Alberta Pierce; her father, Rudy
Carlson; her sister, Joanne Hargraves (Mills); her daughter, Jackie Lee Josey
and her lifelong best friend, Betty Gilroy. She is survived by her son,
Christopher Lee Josey of Dania, FL; her daughters, Cheryl Lee Josey, of
Tavares, FL, Debra Lee Matiasz (Paul) of Youngstown, NY and Cathy Lee Josey, of
Pompano Beach, FL; her sister, Jeanne Lupher (Mills) of Townville, PA; her
brother, Terry Pierce (Donna), of NiagaraFalls, NY; her granddaughters,
Victoria Lee McPartland (PJ) of Hollywood, FL (recently moved to Ocoee, FL) and
Kristen Olenick (Jason) of Niagara Falls, NY and her grandsons Daniel Matiasz
and Steven Matiasz of Youngstown, NY.
At her request, no services will be held.
