Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and services of Mr. Tommy Bennett Josey, age 66, of Bartow, who died Friday afternoon, March 5, 2021 at his residence.

Funeral Services will be held Monday March 8, 2021 at Freedom Fellowship Church with Pastor Richard Josey and Evangelist Lisa Josey officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jody Josey, Ricky Josey, William Josey, Ronnie Josey, Wayne Josey and Andy Pennington. Because of the family’s concern for public health and safety during this pandemic, the family requests that social distancing and other safety precautions be followed. A native of Louisville, Tommy was the son of the late Harris Bennett Josey and Vina Mae Smith Josey. Tommy graduated from Sandersville High School. He retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation as a right of way foreman for 32 years. He was also a faithful member, Sunday School Superintendent, Secretary & Treasurer at Freedom Fellowship Church in Bartow.  

Tommy was preceded in death by his father, and survived by his mother, Vina Mae Josey of Bartow, brother, Richard Josey (Lisa) of Davisboro, uncle, Fred Smith of Bartow, nephew, Jody & Donna Josey of Davisboro, other family and friends and his extended family at Freedom Fellowship Church.

The Josey family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Monday at the Church.
