SALLYE JOSEY CRAWFORD Sallye Josey Crawford died on March 5, 2014. Born on June 10th, 1920 in Wilmington, she was the daughter of Atha Hicks and Edwin Bruce Josey. She graduated from Peace Junior College and Woman's College of the University of North Carolina. After her marriage to Henry Eames Crawford. Jr. they lived on Long Island, New York until retirement when they moved to Wilmington. Sallye was preceded in death by her husband, her son Henry Eames Crawford III, her daughter Martha Crawford and he sister Atha Josey Jones. She is survived by her daughter Sallie C. Danielle, grandson S. Crawford McDowell and wife, one great granddaughter and one great grandson. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM, Monday, March 10, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 125 South Third Street, or Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 1406 Physicians Drive.
