Ruth Irene Chumley Josey Bristow

Ruth Irene Bristow, 97 of 27 Colonial Ct, Owensboro, Ky, died Friday, April 16, 2004 at Owensboro Mercy Health Systems. She was born in Ohio County, Ky. She was retired from the Owensboro City Schools where she worked in the lunchroom and was a member of Good Shepherd Church. She was preceeded in death by her husband William A. Bristow, February 13, 1994 and a son Charles Josey, Dec 31, 2001.

She is survived by a daughter Wanda Reid of Owensboro; three grandchildren Dennis Duke, Bill Duke and Marian Turley; and precious great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; one sister Lillian Grant of Tell City; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 3:00 pm Monday at Good Shepherd Church. Burial will be in Yellow Creek Cemetery in Thruston, Ky. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm ? 5:00 pm Sunday at James H Davis Funeral Home. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Good Shepherd Christian School
