Ruby Turner Josey,
74, of Mooresville, passed away Sunday, Sept. 2,
2012,
at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville. She was born Aug.
24, 1938,
in Iredell County, to the late Marvin
and Connie Stanley Turner. She was retired from Race City Exxon and was a member
of Geth-semane Baptist Church in Mooresville. In
addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Josey;
son, Eugene David Josey; and brothers, Arnold and Glenn Turner. She is survived
by her children, Cheryl Over-cash and husband, Don-nie,
of Cleveland, Tim Josey and wife, Pamela, Connie Kennerly
and husband, Todd, Michael Josey, all of Mooresville; sisters, Hazel Edison, of
Charlotte, Joyce Herm-an, of Taylorsville, Alice Warren, of Statesville, Carol Gryder, of States-ville;
grandchildren, Jas-on, Chris, T.J., Caroline, Jessica, Rebekah,
B.J., Michael; and great-grand-child, Taylor. Funeral services will be held at 2
p.m.
Wednesday, Sept. 5, at Cavin-Cook Funeral Ho-me
Chapel with the Rev. Fred Carlton officiating. Burial will follow the service
at Iredell Mem-orial Gardens. The fam-ily will receive friends Tuesday. Sept.
4, from 6
to 8:30 p.m.
at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the
Gordon Hospice House, 2341 Simonton Rd., Statesville, NC 28625. Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville, is serving the Josey
family.
