Ronald A. Josey, Sr. - ROSIER - Ronald A. Josey, Sr., went to be with his Lord Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Hospice House of Savannah due to a heart condition. He was born in Augusta, GA and was the son of the late Arlie M. Josey and Alma Netherland Josey. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Ronald was a member of Midville First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years. He was one of the founding Board Members of Whole Life Ministries in Augusta, GA. He had a long agricultural career that included farming, cotton gin owner, agricultural supplier, and cattleman. He enjoyed traveling and camping and he loved his family. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Willene Etheridge Josey of Rosier; a daughter, Mary Ann Josey Tucker (Tommy); a son, Ron A. Josey, Jr. (Pam), and 2 grandchildren, Frank Josey Tucker (Molly Rose) and Ryan Ashton Josey all of Savannah. Visitation: 3-5pm Sunday, December 15 at the funeral home. Graveside Service: 2pm Monday, December 16 at the Louisville City Cemetery, Louisville, GA. Dr. Sandra Kennedy, Rev. Scott McKinney, and Dr. Ray Freeman will officiate. Flowers are being accepted; however, memorials may be made to Whole Life Ministries of Augusta, GA or University Hospice of Augusta, GA or Hospice House of Savannah.
