Robie Maxwell Josey 28 Feb 1933 – 10 Oct 2023
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing
of Robie Maxwell Josey 90, of Beaver Bank and later Lower Sackville. Robie
passed away peacefully on October 6, 2023. He was born on February 28, 1933, to Albert and Janie Josey in Spry Bay, NS. Robie was married to his lovely wife, Doris Josey
(Chamberlain) for 58 years and had two beautiful daughters, Pamela Josey and
Kimberly O’Donnell (Josey). Robie spent most of his career in Construction and
his later years working for Halifax Regional Schoolboard
from where he retired. Robie loved to garden and visit their cottage on Brule
Point. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brother Albert Josey (Jr.)
and his nephew Douglas Josey (predeceased). Robie was happiest surrounded by
family. He loved to dance, tell a good joke and to make you smile. Robie is
survived by wife, Doris; daughters, Pamela (Matthew Trimper)
and Kimberly (Scott O’Donnell); and 5 grandchildren, Justin Corkum,
Aaron Corkum, Dylan Corkum,
Bailey O’Donnell and Jett O’Donnell; also, by brothers, Albert Josey and Victor
Josey (wife Judy) and Reid Josey. He was preceded in death by his parents,
Albert and Janie Josey; sisters, Golda, Anna, Margaret and Helen. Brothers Emerson, Ernest, Lloyd and Bruce. Funeral service
will be Thursday October 12th at 11 a.m. in Atlantic Funeral Home in Lower Sackville with the Rev. James Haughn officiating. Many heartfelt thanks to Amanda Tinnings, Robie’s Nurse
Practitioner. Thank you to the Caregiver’s from Northwood Homecare. Thank you
for the loving care at Twin Oaks Hospital. Memorials or donations may be made to Heart and
