MAIDEN - Pinkie Lee Caldwell Josey, 93, of Maiden, passed away Monday, Oct. 29, 2007, at Conover Nursing
Home. Born Jan. 4, 1914, in Catawba County, she was the
daughter of the late Dolphus Monroe Caldwell and
Fannie Lou Ella Drum Caldwell. Mrs. Josey was the oldest charter member of Mount Anderson Baptist Church in Maiden. In
addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob
Sinclair Josey; a daughter, Marcella Sigmon; and
six brothers, Wade, Frank, Buck, J.D., Lester and John Caldwell. She is
survived by a son, Roger Josey and wife, Brenda, of Maiden; a sister, Belzie Willis of Maiden; three granddaughters, Lora Josey
of Mooresville, Pamela Pope and husband, John, of Maiden, and Annette Sigmon Newton and husband, Wayne, of Sherrills
Ford; a grandson, Mitchell Sigmon of Newton; a
great-granddaughter, Melinda Sigmon; and two
great-grandsons, Cody and Daniel Newton. The funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. today, Wednesday,
Oct. 31, 2007, at Mount Anderson Baptist Church in Maiden, with the
Revs. Donald Cline and Charles Ingle officiating. Burial will follow in the
church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 4:45 p.m. today, Wednesday,
at Mount Anderson Baptist Church, prior to the
