GASTONIA - Patricia Ann Josey, 77, died Friday, July 23, 2010.

Born in Polk County, she was the daughter of the late Lucian Kenneth Phillips Sr. and Annie Mae Mills Phillips. Mrs. Josey was a 20-year resident of Panama City, Fla., where she was a legal secretary with Burke, Blue and Hutchison. She attended Faith United Methodist Church in Gastonia.

Survivors include her daughters, Caron Josey Hobson and her husband, Neal of Powder Springs, Ga., and Andrea Josey Gowry and her husband, Dany of San Marcos, Texas; stepson, Louis Bennett Josey Jr. of Sevierville, Tenn.; brother, Kenneth Phillips of Gastonia; grandchildren, Caroline Elizabeth Hobson and Neal Douglas Hobson III; and a number of cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, July 26, 2010, at Gaston Memorial Park with the Rev. Don Hope and Rev. Larry Bradley officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. Monday at McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia.
