Funeral services for Omie Lee Josey, age 88, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 21, 2017 at the Richard N. Stanley Memorial Chapel with interment to follow at New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Josey was born April 28, 1929 in South Carolina; she was preceded in death by her parents, the late Leon Bunjo Brown and Pearl Evelyn Peavy Brown, her husband, Howard F. Josey, two daughters, Gloria Josey and Karen Josey, a brother, Leon C. Brown and a sister, Betty J. Josey. She was a member o… Read More f Josey Baptist Church and was retired from the Washington County Board of Education as a librarian and teachers aid. She was also formerly employed by Southern Bell Telephone as an operator. Mrs. Josey passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2017.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, July 20, 2017 at the funeral home.
