Services for Ollie
Bridges Josey, 82, of Brinson, are 2 p.m. Monday at Ivey
Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Newton Cranford and Rev. Al Wilbourn will officiate
and interment will follow at Colquitt City Cemetery. Mrs. Josey was
born Sept. 24, 1926, in Newton, the daughter of
Robert A. Bridges and Ollie Agnes Mason Bridges. She retired from Georgia State Hospital as a nurse, was a
member of Woodman of the World, Senior Center and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Mrs. Josey died Saturday,
Nov. 8, 2008,
at her home of 60 years. Survivors include sons, Ronnie Josey of Brinson, John
S. Phillips II of Fort Bragg, N.C. and Jeffrey M.
Phillips of Kansas City, Mo.; sister, Bobbie
Baker of Albany; two grandchildren;
and, seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands,
Ervin (Sambo) Josey and Wallace Booth, daughter Cynthia Josey and sister Juanita Massingale. The family will receive friends
from 4 p.m. to 6
p.m.
