Maude Josey Scott, 79, of Bainbridge, Ga., died Tuesday.

The service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Bainbridge, with burial at Oak City Cemetery. Family will receive friends at 7 a.m. today at Cox Funeral Home in Bainbridge (912-246-4411).

A lifelong resident of Decatur County, Ga., she was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church, where served in the W.M.U. and attended Philathea/ Davirson Sunday School Class.

She is survived by four sons, James Scott Jr., Jerry Scott, Stevie Scott and Tony Scott, all of Bainbridge; six daughters, Carolyn Valencia and Judy Wynn, both of Bainbridge, Shirley Labor of Monroe, La., Celia Moser of Baltimore, Diane King of Valdosta, Ga., and Brenda McCullough of Cairo, Ga.; three brothers, Grady Josey of Panama City, and J.C. Josey and Dance Josey, both of Climax, Ga.; a sister, Clara Mae Shephard of Climax, Ga.; 36 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
