Mary Emily Josey Mabry was born on March 7, 1924 in Marshall, Texas. She left this world and entered into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, May 12, 2018. Mary was the daughter of Charles Robert and Nora Josey and the sister to LaNora Josey who predeceased her. She was married to Frank Mabry who also predeceased her in 1985.
Mary is survived by her three children, Gail Stepp and husband David, Frank Mabry, Jr. and his wife Brenda, Cathy Warnock and her husband Marty. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Emily Nelson, Eric Stepp, Meredith Dishman, and Melissa Gaskin. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She leaves behind a host of friends and neighbors who blessed her life.
Mary was a Christian and loved to share her faith with others. Most recently her church membership had been at Church on the Hill in Mesquite.
Mary’s family would like to thank the following people who showed extra love during Mother’s last year of life: to her nurse LeeAnn who took great care of her and brightened her day with every visit; to her neighbor Pat who cooked meals just for Mary and always stayed for a visit; to sweet Sheila who prayed for her daily and stopped by the hospital to offer a word of cheer and who kindly rubbed her fingers through Mother’s hair just because it felt so good; and to Nazee for her loving friendship and cheerful spirit. Mother always enjoyed your calls and visits.
Services for Mary will be at 11:00 o’clock on Thursday, May 17th with a family visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Mary will be laid to rest beside her husband, Frank, at Grove Hill Cemetery in Dallas.
