Mary Clyde Josey Rowland, age 78, of Alma passed away on January 15, 2021 at the Bacon County Hospital after a short illness. Born in Coffee County on November 4, 1942 to Clyde Simpson Fowler and Gencie Hutto Fowler. She lived most of her life in Alma; was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant and was a member of Southside Church of God.

 

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Lamar Bo Lee and Alton Rowland, two brothers, Robert Fowler and Gene Fowler and two sisters, Nina Burch and Miriam Garner. Survivors include four daughters, Micki Brooks Smith (Jerry) of Bristol, Robbie Brooks Taylor (Rickey) of Alma, Trisha Brooks Horne (Eddie) of Guyton and Leigh Brooks Lewis of Alma; two sisters, Frances Fortune Luke of Douglas and Genelle Chitty of Powder Springs; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

 

Graveside services was held Monday, January 18th at 2:00 PM at the Douglas City Cemetery in Douglas, Georgia with Rev. David Deen and Rev. Mark Carver officiating.

 

Crosby Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
