Mary Carolyn Josey, 73, born on Oct. 5, 1934, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008. She devoted many years to the Labor & Delivery Department at Mercy Hospital, where she also retired. She was a member

of First Baptist Church and the Women’s Missionary Union Ladies Group.

Josey was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Tishie Britt, sister Nell Posey, and brother, Raymond Britt Jr. She is survived by her children, Bonnie (Jorge) Villarreal, Natalie Burkhalter, Kimberly Burkhalter, Jamy Josey

(Eliecer) Cuellar and James Aaron Josey. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Jessica, Joanne, John Gabriel, Mark and

Jesse and other relatives and friends.

A memorial visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 15, 2008, at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels, 1410 Jacaman Road from 5 to 9 p.m. A prayer service will be

held at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Ron Scott officiating. The graveside service will be

held at Floyd Baptist Church Cemetery in Verbena, Ala. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Carolyn Josey Nursing Scholarship Fund at Texas A&M International University.
