Marshall Foch Josey

MAIDEN - Marshall Foch Josey, 79, of Maiden, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at his residence. Born May 27, 1929, in Catawba County, he was the son of the late Edmond Levi Josey and Ollie Luella Burke Josey. Mr. Josey was a member of Center View Baptist Church in Maiden and retired from Duke Power after 34 years of employment. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Johnny M. Josey, and a brother, Winfred Josey. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Neomia Drum Josey of the home; a son, Terry Josey of Claremont; a daughter, Patsy J. Lail of Lincolnton; six grandchildren, Michelle Isenhour, Marshall B. Josey, Misty Josey, Chad Josey, April Josey and Hope Josey; and seven great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. today, Friday, May 8, 2009, at Center View Baptist Church in Maiden, with the Revs. Glenn Sellers and Ernest Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. today at the church prior to the service.
