Margaret
Ann Overcash Josey, 72, of Salisbury passed away on
Wednesday September 9, at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center after a period of
declining health. She was born on September
28, 1942
the daughter of the late Fred Alexander and Ollie Mullis Overcash.
She was educated in the Rowan County schools. She worked
for Celanese until her retirement. She enjoyed going camping, reading James
Patterson novels and spending time with her family and friends. She was
preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband Alvin W. Josey
who she married on July 2, 1960, a son Scott Josey
and wife Jackie of Woodleaf, daughter Sandra J. Bruce
and husband Rick of Concord, brother Clyde Overcash
and wife Juanita of Badin, Six grandchildren, two Greatgrandchildren,
two nephews and one niece. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 12 at
Powles Staton funeral home
from 5:00pm 7:00pm. Funeral Service
will be held on Sunday,September
13, at 2:00pm at the Powles Staton Funeral Home Chapel
with Rev. Carlin Ours officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. In
lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to St. Judes Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas
