Lucia Josey Caldwell, 95, of Chapin, SC, Born August 15, 1920, in Bishopville, to Luther Flemming Josey and Edith Scarborough Josey, died Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at Long's Residential Care. She was the widow of George Harvey Caldwell,

She attended Coker College and Furman College. Mrs. Caldwell was retired from Little Mountain Construction Company. She was a member of Cannon's Creek Prosperity A.R.P. Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by a son, Kinney Dalle Caldwell of Prosperity; a daughter, Debra Caldwell Shealy of Newberry; a sister-in-law, Mary Josey; grandchildren, Cody Caldwell, Amber Lominick, Jay Carraway and Keely Livingston and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by all of her siblings.

Funeral services: 3:00 p.m., Saturday, March 12, 2016, at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Rev. Jimmy Counts, with burial following in Prosperity Cemetery.
