Lena Antha Josey Martin,
86, of Winston-Salem passed away Friday,
Jan. 25, 2002,
at the WakeForestUniversityBaptistMedicalCenter.
She was born Sept. 11, 1915, in IredellCounty to Elam M. and Doshia Ann
She was a member of the RedlandPentecostalHolinessChurch and was formerly a
nurse at the Winston-SalemRehabilitationCenter and the Blumenthal
Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mr. Letroy Burns
Yontz, in 1955; three sisters, Laura Gautier, Marie Rising and Edna Wright; and
three brothers, Arch, Albert and Ted Josey. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs.
Claudia Brown (husband Bobby) of Winston-Salem; two grandchildren,
Benny Brown (wife Donna) of Kernersville and Ken Brown (wife Judy) of Mocksville;
a great-granddaughter, Tiffany Nicole Brown, and a sister-in-law, Josephine
Weaver of Salisbury. Also surviving are
many nieces and nephews who were very loving and caring to their aunt. A

A funeral service will be held at Monday,
Jan. 28, 2002,
at the RedlandPentecostalHolinessChurch with the Rev. Joel
K. Boyles officiating. Burial will follow in CrestviewMemorial Park. The family will
