Lavon Josey

Lavon Josey, age 80, passed away June 23, 2021.                    

He is preceded in death by his parents, Cleveland B. and Massleat “Bertha” Brown Josey; siblings, infant son, Bertha Mae Josey Dueitt, Loretta Opal Josey Head, James Otis Josey, Troy Lee Josey and Ruby Brannum.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Patricia Ann Josey Ryan and Jimmy Don Josey; grandchildren, Michael Ray Ryan, Jr and Francesca Ann McGee; great grandchildren, Selah Grace Ryan, Benjamin Michael Ryan, Elijah Gabriel Ryan, Anna Faith McGee and Laura Hope McGee; brothers, Harold Josey, Gene Josey; sisters, Vermil McClean and Evelyn Bradley; numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.              

The Visitation for Lavon Josey will be Monday, June 28, 2021 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home in Lucedale, Mississippi. The Funeral Service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Steve Howell officiating. Burial will follow in Sandhill Baptist Church Cemetery.
