John Calvin Josey, a native of Monroe County and a resident of Houston, died Thursday 6 Sep 2001, at a New Orleans hospital. He was 47.

Josey was employed as a drafter.

Survivors include two sons, Steven Josey and Joshua Josey, both of Houston; his parents, John A. and Eleanor Josey of Frisco City, Ala.; and one sister, Brenda Hybart of New Orleans.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at Johnson Funeral Home in Monroeville, where the service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Zion Rest Cemetery in Excel.
