CAMDEN, S.C.A memorial
service to celebrate the life of Jacob "Jake" Sinkler Josey, 68, of Camden will be held at 2
p.m.
Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church. Rev. Steve
Patterson and Rev. David Weaver will officiate. The family will have a
reception in the church's Fellowship Hall following the service. In lieu of
flowers, memorials may be made in Jake's memory to American Lung Association or
St Jude Children Research Hospital
Mr. Josey died Friday,
July 24, 2015
of Pulmonary Fibrosis. He was born in Greenville, S.C., the son of the
late Henry Albert and Nancy Wharton Josey. Mr. Josey was in the National Guard,
He retired from West Group as a sales representative. Mr. Josey was a member of
Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church. He was a dedicated
husband, father, and Papa. He never met a stranger and will be missed by
many.Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Linda Brooks Josey; daughter Jill
Josey Sweat (Todd) of Camden and their daughter Josey Hanna Sweat; son, Henry
Claude "Hank" Josey of Wilmington, N.C. and his children, Riley Kay
and Carter Brooks Josey; a sister, Carol Josey Bridges (Tom) of Carolina Beach,
N.C. Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel is in charge of arrangements
