Jack Lynn Josey

On Sunday, October 18, 2020, Jack Lynn Josey, 78, passed away suddenly at Cedar Park Regional Hospital in Cedar Park, Texas. He was born on November 18, 1941 in Baytown, Texas to Juddie and Belle Roy (Emsoff) Josey. He was a wonderful brother to Carrel Josey Reed and the deceased, Earlene Josey Capehart.

Jack will be eternally remembered by his loving wife, Yong. They were faithfully married for 20 years. Jack is also survived by his sons, John Josey and Karl Josey (spouse, Jennifer Stone). He was the proud grandfather to Jennifer Little (spouse, William Little) Laura Broadhurst, Emily Wilson and Allyson Stone. Jack also cherished his role as Great-Grandfather to Adalynn Little.

After graduating Channelview Highschool in 1961, Jack went on to become a Razorback at the University of Arkansas. Jack left college early and proudly served in the United State Air Force. After the airforce, Jack found work as a transporter and loved traveling the country. He worked for Arkansas Best Freight (ABF) for more than 20 years and Union Carbine and Air Products, retiring at the age of 55.

He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church since his move to Cedar Park many years ago. Prior to that he was a faithful member of St. Dominic Catholic Church in Sheldon, Texas and St. Viator Catholic Community in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jack was an extremely active member of the Knights of Columbus where he was a Fourth Degree. He also served as Grand Knight at both St. Viator and St. Dominic.

The Knights allowed Jack to focus on his love of volunteering and cooking. He participated in many service projects but loved cooking for The Respite Group (Alzheimer and Dementia group) at St. Thomas More. Jack spent many hours working with this group and growing a deep fondness for those involved. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Respite Group at St. Thomas More Catholic Church 10205 FM 620 N. Austin, Texas 78726.

Jack will be fondly remembered by all those that knew and loved him. Until we meet again, Jack, we love you.
