Hiram Thomas Josey, 70, of Kilgore, brother of Mrs. Hugh McDow of Jacksonville died Tuesday morning in a Kilgore hospital after a lengthy illness.

Final rites will be at 12 noon Thursday in the Rader Chapel at Kilgore with graveside services at 2:00 p.m. in the Jarratt Cemetery near Jacksonville.

Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Bethel Josey, Kilgore; a daughter, Mrs. James H. Barnett, Jr., of Alvin; a son, Harold L. Josey of Kilgore; a brother, Bill Josey, Proctor; four sisters, Mrs. McDow, Jacksonville, and Mrs. Elva Allen, Mrs. Mae Park, Mrs. Faye McNaeil, Belton; stepmother Mrs. Jose Zipper, Belton; six grandchildren; and three great-children.
