Mr. Zepho Josey, 90, of 7709 Heard Bridge Road, died Thursday, April 6, 1995, at Jefferson Hospital, Louisville.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Josey Baptist Church, with the Revs. James Coleman and Inman Gerrald officiating. Burial will be in Josey Baptist Cemetery.

Mr. Josey, a lifelong resident of Washington County, was a retired tax preparer and had been an agent for Modern Woodmen of America for 40 years. He was a member of Josey Baptist Church for 74 years, was a deacon for 63 years and Sunday school director and chorister for 53 years. He had taught the young adult class and was a clerk of the Mount Vernon Association for 40 years.

Survivors include his wife, Marie Beckworth Josey; a daughter, Zulene Moats, Bartow; two brothers, Harris Josey and Ollis Josey, both of Bartow; two sisters, Okella Smith, Harrison, and Louise Josey, Wrightsville; and five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

Pallbearers will be Hollan Josey, Hank Josey, Taylor Ford, Lester Moats, Eric Moats, Brently Moats, Wayne Barfield and Brian Barfield.
