Helen Eudell Polley Josey Brown, 89, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Wednesday,
September 28, 2011 at her home.
Helen was born in Madisonville, Kentucky on January
10, 1922
to the late Lee and Lucy A. (Lovan) Polley. She worked at Hoosier Cardinal for 25 years as a
paint sprayer/inspector and was a member of Salem Baptist Church in Morton's Gap, Kentucky. Helen was a very
social person who loved to dance, do crossword puzzles, and play card games.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be deeply
missed by those she knew and loved.
Helen is survived by her two sons, James Edward Josey and Lanny
Ray Josey, both of Evansville, IN, grandchildren,
Daniel Lee Josey, Jeff Josey, Angie Alexander, Mark Josey, Gregg Josey, and 7
great-grandchildren.
Helen is preceded in death by her parents, first husband, James Woodrow Josey,
second husband, John Brown, sister, Francis Whitefield, and step-brother, Jack
Dixon.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday,
September 30, 2011 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave. with Pastor Steve
Clayton officiating. Burial will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 4:00 PM until 8:00
PM,
Thursday, September 29, 2011 at Browning Funeral
Home. Friends may also visit from 12:00 PM until service time
on Friday.
