Josey, Gwen Gwen Elizabeth Josey was born with Down syndrome in Lansing on April 14, 1958. After 60 years of being loved by her family and friends, she died peacefully on Sunday, August 19, 2018. She was preceded in death by her brother Paul Josey. Gwen will be greatly missed by her parents, Kenneth and Barbara Josey; sisters Pat Josey and Dotty (Jeff) Peare; brother, Chuck (Dawn) Josey as well as several nieces and nephews. She worked for many years as a server at McDonalds until she retired in 1994. A special thanks to the dedicated staff of Life Care Center in Plainwell for providing outstanding care to Gwen and support to her family. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Wayland United Methodist Church, 200 Church St., Wayland, MI with Rev. Jeff Williams officiating. Relatives and friends may meet Gwen's family one hour prior to the service.
