His life and memory will be treasured by his wife, Jean, of
52 years. He had two children, a daughter, Leigh Vaughn, and a son, Joseph
Josey, as well as a foster son, Marc Boice, who loved
him. His three granddaughters, Leisa, Megan, and Erin
Vaughn, will forever cherish their memories of their Granddaddy and will wait

Gerald was preceded in death by his brother, Marion Josey, and his son-in-law,

Gerald entered the ministry in the early 1970s and devoted
his life to spreading the Gospel. As an honored member of Global Christian

sharing the Word of God. He earned his doctorate degree in Divinity from
Northwestern Theological Seminary. Gerald was also a proud member of the
National Guard and the Sumter Guard.
He will be greatly missed by his family, including all his
brothers and sisters in Christ. He influenced many lives and will be remembered
