Georgia Lewis Josey -MONTEZUMA, GA
- Georgia Lewis Josey, age 92, of Montezuma, GA,
passed away Friday night, December 31, 2010 at the Montezuma Health and Rehabilitation Center. -Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.,
Sunday, January 2 at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma. -Funeral
services will be held at 2P.M., Monday,
January 3 at the Montezuma United Methodist Church with Rev. Phillip Streetman and Rev. Billy Kimbrell officiating. Burial will follow in Bertha Dozier
Memorial Park Cemetery in Montezuma. -Georgia was born on October 11, 1918 in Mauk, GA
to the late George Eugene Lemmond and Claudia
Streetman Lemmond. She was the lunchroom manager for
the Macon County School System for 37 years and a faithful member of Montezuma
United Methodist Church. She also played the piano for the Philathea
Sunday School class. -Survivors include her two sons and daughters-in-law,
Eugene and Joyce Lewis of Montezuma, GA, John W. "Billy" Lewis and
wife Janet of Acworth, GA; sister, Mary Louise Williams of Montezuma, GA; three
grandchildren, Bobby Lewis, John Lewis, Jr., Kathy Escue;
five great grandchildren, Justin Gaultney, Megan Gaultney, Courtney Watkins, Madisyn
Escue, Tyler Escue; and two
great great grandchildren, Hailey and Connor also
survive. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Lewis; second
husband, Carey Josey, Jr., granddaughter, Sherry Lewis and grandson, Jeff
Lewis.
