Freda May Josey Kirker

 

92, East Quoddy, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2016, in St. Mary's Memorial Hospital, Sherbrooke. Born in Spry Bay, July 30, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Lavinia (Hawes) Josey. Freda worked for many years at the Marquis of Port Dufferin as a housekeeper until her retirement. She enjoyed watching her game shows, was always good-natured and she loved her grandchildren. Freda enjoyed baking especially her homemade pies and bread which were the best, and feeding anyone who would drop in, she would cook for an army if just a few would show. Survived by children, Carter (Janna), Victoria, B.C.; Inez (Byron) Leslie, Mushaboom; Malcolm, East Quoddy; Richard (Cheryl), Lower Sackville; Perry (Jennifer), Calgary, Alta.; 10 grandchildren; two step grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Lois Barkhouse, Sheet Harbour; brother, Rodney, Lower Sackville. Predeceased by husband, Murray; son, Gerry Kirker; sisters, Vonna Kirker, Edith Josey; brothers, Boyd, Goldie and Charles Jr.; halfbrother, Ross Hubley.
