beloved Foster R. Josey of Stafford Springs, Connecticut, born in Red
Level, Alabama, who passed away

He was predeceased by :
his parents, Lawson Josey and Lois Josey (Curry). He is survived by : his wife
Joan B. Josey; and his children, Nancy Hayford
(David) of Vernon, CT, Steven Josey of Farmington, CT, James Josey (Pamela) of
Albuquerque, Michael Josey (Nancy) of Coventry, CT and Daniel Josey of
Indianapolis, IN. He is also survived by his many grandchildren,
great-grandchildren and great-great grandchild, as well as other relatives and
friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 8th 2024 from 3:00
PM to 5:00 PM at the Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc. (51 E Main St, Stafford, CT 06076). A mass of christian burial will be held on Saturday, March 9th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Bernard Church (25 St
Bernard's Terrace, Vernon, CT 06066).

Foster R. Josey, 92, of Vernon, CT,
passed away on February 28, 2024
at Kimberly Hall Nursing Home in Windsor, CT.
He is survived by his wife, Joan B. Josey. Foster was born and raised in Red
Level, Alabama son of the late Lawson and Lois (Curry) Josey. Upon
graduating from Red Level High
School, he
served in the United States Air Force and upon his discharge moved to Niagara Falls,
NY where he met Joan. They married a few years later and moved
to Enfield, CT where they built their home and raised five children.
Foster worked at Pratt and Whitney in East Hartford, CT for 30 years and upon
his retirement he and Joan built a home in Red Level, AL where they spent their
winters for many years until they moved back to Connecticut full time. He was
very active in the church in Andalusia, AL
and did a bit of hunting and golfing. During the summers he lived in Stafford Springs,
CT, and enjoyed camping, traveling, golfing, and bowling.
Foster belonged to the Connecticut Starcraft Camping
Club and spent many years camping with this group and traveling all over the United States. The club was family to him, and he held many memories with
this club. All the traveling in caravans to various rallies,
playing horseshoes, golf, and many nights sitting around the campfire.
He also was a Member of the Knights of Columbus, Assembly No. 2190 and held the
position of 4th Degree. Foster is survived by his children Nancy Hayford and her husband David of Vernon, CT, Steven Josey
of Farmington, CT, James Josey and his wife Pamela of Albuquerque, New Mexico,
Michael Josey and his wife Nancy of Coventry, CT, and Daniel Josey of
Indianapolis, IN; his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great
grandchild, as well as other relatives and friends. His family will receive
relatives and friends on Friday, March 8, 2024 from 3:00-5:00 PM at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March
9, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St. Bernard Church, 25 St. Bernard's Terrace, Vernon,
CT. Burial in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT, will be held
privately. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Alzheimer's
