Mr. Dudley Culp
Mr. Dudley Culp, 83, of Hamburg died Sunday, March 11, 2001, at the Ashley County Medical Center in Crossett. A native of Bradley County and a resident of Hamburg
and Fountain Hill all of his life, he was a retired subcontractor in the timber
industry. He was a member of the Judson Missionary Baptist Church for 63 years and served as a deacon, a member of the Fountain Hill
School Board for 19 1/2 years, and he served for 25 years as secretary &
treasurer of the Judson Cemetery Association. He was preceded in death by his
wives, Artie Wells Culp in 1971 and Lula Boyd Culp in 1997; his parents, R. B.
& Emma Loveless Culp and two brothers, Thomas William "Pete" Culp
and Robert Chalmer Culp; and three sisters, Mary
Hunter, Alma Gardner and Ellie Godwin.
He is survived by a son, Wade Culp and his wife,
Carol, of Hamburg; a daughter, Shirlene Josey and husband Larry of
Crossett; a brother, James Culp of Hamburg; three sisters, Georgia McNiece,
Louise Cox and Ruth Martin of Hamburg; four grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, in the Judson Missionary Baptist Church with Revs. Roy Craig & Orville Clark officiating. Pallbearers were to be Frankie, Robert & Jimmy
Martin, Carl Hunter, Dewey "Scutter" Kilcrease, Charles "Bull" Wells, Blaine Kilcrease and Willard Erwin. Interment was to follow
services at the Judson Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Hamburg. Memorials may be
