Charlote Louise Josey Crainshaw, 90, of
Kannapolis went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 19, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
She was born
May 28, 1933 in Rowan County, N.C. a daughter of the late Banks Alexander Josey and Dorothy Mildred Basinger Josey. Also preceding her in death was her husband of 55 years, Thomas Ray "Tom" Crainshaw, Sr.; a son, Thomas Ray "Pete" Crainshw Jr; and his wife, Karen; granddaughter, Ashely Crainshaw; grandson, Jerry McCall Jr.; a brother, Bobby Josey; and a sister, Betty Sifford.
Charlotte was a member of Second Presbyterian Church in Kannapolis and was a member of the Women's Circle.
She retired from Cannon Mills, after working at Plant number one and Plant number six in the sheet department. She was co-owner of Appliance Repair and Refrigeration with her late husband.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a loving mother.
Family members left to cherish her memory include a daughter, Tonia C. McCall and Bobby of Concord; two sons, Mark Crainshaw and Delane of Concord and Tim Crainshaw and wife Shirley of Kannapolis; a sister, Helen Castor; and a brother, Carl "G.I." Josey; She is also survived by grandchildren, Sandy Chamberlain, Kimberly Blalock; great-grandchildren, Noah and Wesley Blalock, Baudwyn Chamberlin and Syndey (and Dante Cresenzi, Jaydin Overcash and Darin Club.
Funeral services will be held at
2 p.m. Monday, April 22, 2024 at Second Presbyterian Church conducted by Pastors Sue Black and Aaron Price. The family will receive friends in the church parlor from 12 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park.
