Carole J. Overcash STATESVILLE Mrs. Carole J. Over-cash, 67, of Statesville, passed away unexpectedly at her residence Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011. Carole was born to the late John and Sally Rary Josey on December 15, 1943. She was a graduate of Statesville High School Class of 1962 and was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a member of Landmark Church of God and was retired from Commscope. She is survived by four children, Todd Lenderman (Sandra), Lisa Lenderman, Jennifer Moss, and Jason Overcash (Jana). She is also survived by six grandchildren, Joshua Lutz, Matthew Lenderman, Ashleigh Overcash, Zachary Overcash, Jenilee Moss, and Kailee Moss. She is also survived by a sister and brother, Janice Josey Everidge and Glenn Josey, as well as her special lifelong friend Carolyn Isenhour. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry Josey, and John Josey. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Kenneth Hudson and the Rev. David Troutman officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Joshua Troutman, Justin Troutman, Dale Josey, Adam Sherrill, Chuck Copeland, Stephan Josey, and Kelly Isenhour. Honorary pallbearers will be the grandchildren. The family will visit with friends Saturday, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Nicholson Funeral Home.
