AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Bessie Lou Josey Glover, 74, of
Augusta, Ga., went to be with her maker and friend
Jesus after a year long, all smiles battle with cancer on Tuesday,
October 9, 2007
at Doctors Hospital. She was the beloved wife of John L.
Glover, Jr. Funeral services will be held on Friday,
October 12, 2007
at 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Worship Center with Brother Rich Bowen and Brother
Tony Rhodes officiating. Interment will follow at New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Riddleville, Georgia. A native of Riddleville, Ga., Bessie was the daughter of the late
Windom Harrison Josey, Sr. and the late Mamie Lou Mixon
Josey. She was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, and grandmother. Survivors
include her son, John L. Glover III of Grapevine, Texas; her daughter, Mary
Susan Glover Coker and her husband Chester Coker of Evans, Ga.; four
grandchildren, Charles D. Cromer, Jr., Stetson B. Cromer, Brittney Cromer
Howell, and Jennifer Jones; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Windom H.
Josey and sister-in-law Karen F. Josey of Evans, Ga.; her sister-in-law,
Lillian Bailey and her husband Larry of Viddette,
Ga.; nieces and nephews, Debra Gail Josey, Rhonda Karen Josey, Shawn Windom
Josey, Kyle Dom Josey, Christian Win Josey, Bradley Harrison Josey, V. Jeffery
Smith, Mary Christmas Josey Thomas and her husband Robert Michael Thomas and a
great-niece, Josey Madysen Thomas. Pallbearers will
be her nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, October
11, 2007 from 5:30 until 8:30 at Elliott Sons Columbia Road Chapel.
