Bertha Louise Josey Brown Smith, 27 Feb 1918 – 13 Apr 2002

Per Vickie Henson, a life long friend, Louise graduated from Hardin Simmons University, in Abilene, TX in May 1939. Louise married Broadus P. Smith August 10, 1939. They moved to Houston in 1943. Louise and Broadus had two children, Paula and Richard. Louise taught school for 23 years in the Pasadena, TX school district. Due to health problems, Louise was unable to attend any Jossey-Josey reunions after the one in Texas in 1993. But she maintained her interest in the organization. Having been our Secretary/Treasurer for several years, and a Josey, she will be missed by many.
