MERIDIAN - Bert Josey, 77, a retired heavy equipment operator, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 1998, in Clifton.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday at Lawson Funeral Home. Burial: Meridian Cemetery.

Bert Josey was born Oct. 14, 1920, in Spring Creek community in Bosque County.

Survivors: Wife, Barbara Josey of Meridian; sons, Edward Josey and his wife, Lana, of Hillsboro and Dowell Josey and his wife, Shawn, of Crockett; daughters, Vicki Young and her husband, Leo, of Meridian and Angela "Penny " Burden and her husband, Randall, of Meridian; stepdaughter, Norma Hill of Waco; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren
