Bernice Dorine Luedtke Josey 18 Jul 1923 - 6 Feb 2016

Bernice Josey, 92, of Houston, Texas, passed away on February 6, 2016. She was born in Grand Island, Nebraska on July 18, 1923 to George and Amelia Luedtke. She was married to Mills (Tex) Josey for 42 years. Bernice was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Galena Park and had a passion for crocheting, needle pointing, reading and her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mills (Tex) Josey and her grandson, Robert Alan Jones (Bobby). She is survived by her daughters Carol Potts and husband Wayne, Linda Jones and husband Robert, Peggy Heintschel and husband Jack; grandchildren Curtis Reece, Cindy McDowell, Brian Jones, Kyle Heintschel and Jamie Wilson; and she was also blessed with 13 great-grandchildren. Bernice is also survived by sisters Donna Stark and Geri Luedtke; brother, Ernest Luedtke; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home. The Celebration of Bernice's Life will begin at 12:30 p.m. with interment to immediately follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.
