Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Armstrong Josey of 234
Brookdale Drive, Americus,
who passed on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2008 in
the Palmyra Park
Hospital, will be held at 11 a.m., Friday,
Feb. 8, 2008
from the Chapel of Barnum Funeral Home. The Rev. Sandy Parks will officiate and
burial will follow in the Freedman Hill
Cemetery. Mrs. Annie Armstrong
Josey was born in Sumter County, Ga.
on Oct. 18, 1910 to the parentage of
the late Mr. Jerry Hammond and the late Mrs. Emma Armstrong Hammond. She leaves
to cherish her memories one sister, Mrs. Louise Prince “Ms. Geech”;
her nieces and nephews, Mrs. Willie Mae (Bob) Montgomery, Ms. Annie Bell
Holmes, Ms. Mozelle Harp, Ms. Mary Lee Walters, Mrs.
Mattie (Jimmy)Walker, Ms. Mary Prince, Mr. James Walters, Mr. Charlie
(Patricia) Walters and Mr. Henry (Connie)Walters, Mr. Tommie Prince and Mr.
J.T. Prince; her great-nieces and nephews, Ms. Linda Holmes, Mr. Curtis Holmes,
Mr. Robert Holmes and a loyal great-niece, Mrs. Gloria (Joseph) Flint; a host
of other relatives and friends also survive. Barnum Funeral Home is in charge
of arrangements.
