Alice Borden Nelson Josey, 81, died January 29, 2011, at her home in Marietta, Georgia, with her beloved husband Robert at her side. Mrs. Josey was born March 21, 1929, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Rev. Boyce and Mrs. Margaret Nelson. Mrs. Josey was a long-time, active member of Mt. Paran Church of God of Atlanta where she served many years as a volunteer in outreach ministries. Mrs. Josey is survived by her sister, Ruth Paton of Knoxville, TN; and by her husband of 65 years, Robert Josey; sons Sam, Kevin and Stuart; daughters Teresa, Renee, Camille and Kim; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 12 at 4:00 p.m. at Mt. Paran Church of God, 2055 Mount Paran Road, Atlanta, GA 30327. The family will receive friends from 3:30 - 4:00 p.m. at Mt. Paran preceding the memorial service. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to: Mt. Paran Church of God, Hospice Atlanta, Safe House Ministries of Atlanta or Smoky Mountain Children's Home in Sevierville, TN.
