Merry Christmas from Alaska to All Our Jossey-Josey Family,

We are making final plans for our House of Jossey-Josey, HOJJ, reunion in Hendersonville, North Carolina. The dates are 26 - 28 April, 2013. For all board members, arrive on 25 April, 2013 for a meeting and a hamburger or hot dog cook out. It is necessary for the early meeting before we get into the full swing of visiting with all HOJJ attendee’s!!

Our hostess, Marion Josey Baker has done a great job getting everything together for this reunion. Hope to see you in Hendersonville!

There will be another letter after the New Year with a registration form with all the last minute details. We will need to get the order for the tee shirts in time to have printed for the reunion!

Note from Marion:

We are staying at the Best Western Motel, 105 Sugarloaf Road, Hendersonville, NC, The room rates are $59.95 plus tax. Make your reservations early as they only have 100 rooms! The phone number is 828-692-0521. You must mention “Jossey-Josey Reunion” to get the special rates. Early arrivals will also be given the special rates.

The rooms include microwave, fridge and coffee making facilities. A breakfast buffet is served every morning in the breakfast room, located off the 24-hour lobby. El Paso, the on site restaurant and bar, is open for lunch and dinner.

The Friday night dinner will be at the Golden Corral Restaurant in their banquet room. This is about one mile from the motel. The cost will be $1.00 off the rate for that night.

The Saturday night dinner will be in the banquet room of the motel. The cost will be $15.00 per person with a choice of meat: steak, chicken or boiled shrimp.

When returning your registration form to Priscilla Knight, Treasurer, please indicate your choice of meat because the caterer needs the information for preparation of meals.

The policy of HOJJ is that children 12 years old and under eat free! We do this to encourage our younger generation to come and get involved with family.

The HOJJ reunion of 2013 will have tee shirts available but must be pre-ordered, pre-paid to have at the reunion. On your registration form you will be able to order by size, and how many you wish. These will make great gifts for those that are unable to attend and the price is great. For sizes small to large is $10.00. From extra large to XXL is $12.00. Each shirt will have the HOJJ family crest, 2013 and North Carolina.

Points of interest in our area are The Biltmore in Asheville, about 20 miles from the motel. The DuPont Forest and Pisqua Forest are within 20 to 30 miles from the motel. Lake Lure and Chimney Rock are 15 miles from the motel.
