(All Friday Activities will be at the Comfort Inn)

10:00 a.m.                Board of Directors’ Meeting

2:00 p.m.                  Registration Begins  (See Registration Form)

2:00 p.m.                  Hospitality Room Opens

6:00 p.m.                  Group dinner – South GA BBQ (Dutch Treat; Very Casual Attire)

8:00 p.m. -until        Fun and Fellowship

 

SATURDAY APRIL 26

6:00-9:00 a.m.         Continental Breakfast  (Comfort Inn)

10:00 a.m.                Group Tours ( Lowndes County Historical Museum, Crescent, etc.)

                                  Departure from Comfort Inn

12:00 Noon              Lunch (on your own)

2:00-4:00 p.m.         House of Jossey-Josey Meeting (Comfort Inn)

5:30 p.m. -until         Banquet – Dressy Casual Attire (Woman’s Building – across from VSU)

SUNDAY APRIL 27

Continental Breakfast, Church of your choice, local or area attractions, or travel

*Door Prizes – Please bring one or more items that represents your hometown, state, family heritage, etc.  These items will be awarded as Door Prizes during the Banquet.

**Patriotic Dress Theme Contest – Come dressed representing your favorite America era, historical person/national figure (living or dead), famous landmark, etc.  Or simply wear red, white, & blue attire.  Prizes awarded.

LODGING & DIRECTIONS

The primary motel/Reunion Headquarters will be the Comfort Inn located at the intersection of  I-75 (exit 16) and Highway 84.  Reservations can be made by calling 229-242-1212 or

1-800-228-5150.  A block of 75 rooms has been reserved for our Reunion .  Please mention that you are with the Josey Family Reunion when making reservations.  Rooms will be reserved until April 11 but will be released to the public after that date – make your reservations now!.  The rate will be $56/room for up to two adults. Other motel chains are also available, if desired.  RV parks are also located nearby for those who want hook-ups.  Two of the RV parks are:  Eagles Roost, I-75, Exit 5 (229-559-5192), and River Park , I-75, exit 18 (229-244-8397).

LOCAL & AREA ATTRACTIONS

Valdosta is located in South Central Georgia on I-75 just north of the Florida state line, approximately half way between Atlanta and Orlando/Tampa. Valdosta is known as the Azalea City and is rich in South Georgia history and Southern Hospitality.  There are many things to visit and see while in the area.  Some of the local and area attractions include:
