Will of WILLIAM COOPER,
This
Indenture made this sixteenth day of January in the year of our Lord one
thousand seven hundred and ninety seven Between JAMES JOSEY of the Borough of the
one part, and PREESON BOWDION Jr. of the

this indenture Witnesseth that the said JAMES JOSEY for and in consideration of
the sum of eighty dollars to him in hand paid buy the said PRESSON BOWDION, at
or before the en sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof he
doth hereby acknowledge and thereof forever exonerate acquit and discharge him
the said PRESSON BOWDION his executors and administrators by these presents
hath granted bargained sold alieved enforced and conformed, and by these
presents doth bargain sell alieve enforce and conform unto the said PRESSON
BOWDION his heirs and assigns forever
all the right title interest and claim of him the said JAMES JOSEY of in or to
the tract of land whereof the said WILLIAM COOPER died seized the same being supposed to contain ninety
acres more or less bounded by the lands of the heirs of JONATHAN GARRISON
deceased, the lands of the said BOWDION and Tanners Creek as well the proportion
to which he hath the right of immediate possession, as of that which is held by
the widow of the said WILLIAM COOPER according to the legal bounds thereof, and
all ways, houses, waters, benefits and appurtenances to the said right of him
the said JAMES JOSEY belonging together with the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents
issues and profits thereof and all the estate right, title interest claim and
demand of him the said JAMES JOSEY of in or to the same. To Have and To Hold
the said land and premises with the appurtenances or right and title of him the
said JAMES JOSEY of in or to the same unto him the said PRESSON BOWDION his
heirs and assigns forever against the claim and demand of him the said JAMES
JOSEY his heirs and all and every other person or persons whomsoever and that
the same he and his heirs shall and will warrant and forever defend by these
presents unto him the said PRESSON BOWDION his heirs and assigns. In witness whereof the said parties have hereunto set their hands
and seal the day and year first written.
