September 1831. ROBERT, WILLIS, JAMES, and WILLIS YATES to NANCY JOSSEY

State of South Carolina. Know all men by these presents that I, WILLIAM JOSSEY of Kershaw District, in the State aforesaid, for, and in consideration of the sum of Five Hundred Dollars, to me paid by NANCY JOSSEY, in the State aforesaid, I have granted, bargained, sold, and released, and by these presents, do grant, bargain, sell, and release unto the said NANCY JOSSEY, One tract of land, containing Three Hundred & Thirty Three acres more or less, laying, and being on the N.E. side of Little Lynches Creek. Bounded on the S.W. by lands belonging to C. LEVY, Pct. North, C. McSWEEN, East Pct. East, by ALEXANDER McCASKILL, GEN. BLAIR, and land surveyed for NEILL RAMSAY, on West Pct., West by lands belonging to PETER McCASKILL, and C. LEVY, more particular description by reference to be had to the plot annexed to the deed from Commissioner, of said land to ANGUS McLEOD; It is understood that WILLIAM JOSSEY has the use and benefit of the said tract of land during his lifetime. Together, with all and singular the rights, members, hereditaments, and appurtenances, to the said premises, or in anywise incident or appertaining; To have and to hold, all and singular the premises before mentioned unto the said NANCY JOSSEY, her heirs and assigns forever. And I do hereby bind myself my heirs, executors, and administrators, to warrant and forever defend, all, and singular the said premises before mentioned unto the said NANCY JOSSEY, her heirs, and assigns, against me, and my heirs, lawfully claiming, or to claim the same, or any part thereof.
