            Know all men by these presents that I ROBERT  JOSEY of the County and State aforesaid for the sum of One Dollar to me in hand paid by my daughter ABBY  SMITH as well as the love and good will which I have for my said daughter ABBY  SMITH have given and granted unto her during her natural lifetime a certain Negro Girl named HARRIET about eight years of age together with the increase of the said HARRIET should she have any and at the death of my said daughter ABBY, the said Negro HARRIET and her increase if any shall go to the children or child of my said ABBY and the said Negro HARRIET and increase labor or ____ ? shall not violate to any debt or contract of the husband of my said daughter ABBY. But shall be for the use and benefit of my said daughter ABBY during her natural lifetime and at her death to be disposed of as above directed. Witness my hand and seal this 11th day of February 1837.
