It’s not too late to make your
reservation to attend our 2009
The
following information should answer the questions some of you have asked
us. If you still have questions or need
further info, contact one of the folks listed at the end. If you know of someone who would be
interested in our
If
you are from the Crestview area and do not plan to stay at the hotel, please
join us during the day in our hospitality area at the hotel to get to know your
Jossey/Josey cousins, pick up your meal tickets at our registration table, and
meet with Bud Josey, our genealogist, to update your family’s info in his
database. To find Bud, just listen for
the big laugh!
You
do not have to stay at the hotel to join us for our Friday night BBQ and our
banquet on Saturday night, but YOU DO HAVE TO SIGN UP if you plan to
attend. We have to know by Monday,
April 20th, how many are attending. So,
send in that Registration form to our secretary, Sandi Bainbridge, NOW to tell
us you are coming and we will reserve a place for you. (If you have already sent in a reservation
form, you are counted and you do not need to send in another one.)
Costs
for the meals are: Friday night $15 per
person and Saturday night $20 per person.
Children 8 and under eat free both nights. You do not have to send money with your
Registration form; just bring it to the
The
Friday night BBQ and the Saturday night Banquet will be held at the Old
Spanish Trail Shrine Club,
We
will gather at the Shrine Club at 5:30 PM on Friday to get to know each other for a while,
followed by our BBQ dinner. Bud will
speak on the history of the Josseys (later spelled
Josey), and we will be entertained by Ron Taylor of Red
level,
We
will gather at the Shrine Club at 5:00 PM on Saturday for an hour or so of mixing and mingling
before our dinner buffet. After a short
business meeting, some recognitions and awards, and
maybe some surprises, we will have our live auction of items donated by our
members and guests. If you want to
contribute something for the auction, consider an item you or a family member
has made, or an item of significance to Joseys, or
something of value you no longer need, or even that white elephant your
mother-in-law gave you for Christmas. Do
plan to participate in the auction - we need your money!
Our
theme for the Saturday night banquet will be Spanish Trails, in honor of
