There have been numerous requests over the past few years for Josey Genealogy Books, that we had published in 1995.  The cost of republishing these books today is prohibitive. We have placed in the Library of Congress the 8 volumes of books.

VOLUME 1 - Contains the descendants of JAMES SALTER JOSEY, the son of JAMES WILLIAM JOSEY, who was born in Halifax County, North Carolina, and went to Jefferson County, Georgia, where he married NANCY SALTER in 1815.  He went on to Alabama, where he lived and raised his family.  JAMES SALTER JOSEY, who was born in Butler County, Alabama, is the fourth child of JAMES WILLIAM JOSEY.

VOLUME 2 - Contains the information on the other children of JAMES WILLIAM JOSEY and NANCY SALTER, and also the information on JAMES WILLIAM JOSEY'S younger brother, HENRY JOSEY, of Halifax County, North Carolina, who stayed in the Scotland Neck, Halifax County, North Carolina area.  

VOLUME 3 - Contains the information on SAMUEL ADDISON JOSEY, a brother of JAMES WILLIAM JOSEY and HENRY JOSEY, all from Halifax County, North Carolina.  SAMUEL ADDISON JOSEY settled in the Jefferson/Washington County, Georgia area.

VOLUME 4 - Contains the information on the descendants of WILLIAM JOSSEY, of Kershaw District, South Carolina.  This Volume contains the information on the eldest son, ROBERT SINCLAIR JOSSEY and WINNIE ROBERTSON, who settled in the Sumter County (now Lee County) South Carolina Area.

VOLUME 5 - Contains the information on the descendants of WILLIAM JOSSEY, of Kershaw District, South Carolina.  This Volume contains the information on the balance of his children, namely, JOSHUA, JAMES WILLIAM, BENJAMIN, MARTHA (WILLIS YATES), NANCY (GEORGE T. COTWELL), MARGARET (NOAH SCARBOROUGH), and WILLIAM WILLIS JOSSEY.

VOLUME 6 - Contains the information on the descendants of HENRY JOSSEY and MARY HILL, of Wilkes County, Georgia.

VOLUME 7 - Contains the information on the descendants of EMANUEL JOSEY (JOSE), of Oktibbeha County, Mississippi, who, according to the 1850 Oktibbeha County, Mississippi Census, came from Ireland.

 VOLUME 8 - Contains the information on the descendants of JOHANN JOSE (JOHN JOSEY) of Rowan County, North Carolina.

We are also in the process of putting on CD's, the years of research of JOSEYS, i.e.: over a thousand pictures of grave markers, thousands of marriages, census records from 1750 to 1920, wills, deeds, birth, deaths, etc.  For future updates, please check the "Web Site", www.thehouseofjossey-josey.org.
