To all of our House of Jossey-Josey (HOJJ) Family,

The reunion is fast approaching and here is hoping you are all making plans to attend the reunion in Mobile Alabama in April 2015. The Board will meet the evening of 23 April 2015. The reunion dates are 24 – 25 April 2015. We have some “new” family members that have been added to our list and I encourage each one of you to come and get your family lineage updated in our Historian’s (Bud Josey) data base. On Friday night after our dinner, we will hear Bud updating us on HOJJ. For you that have never been, this is a very informative part of our reunion. You will have Friday and Saturday to get with Bud and get all your information added. You might be surprised to know that Bud will have lots of that information already! He is GREAT at what he does!

Mark your calendar for 24 – 25 April 2015 and come on down to Mobile, the heart of Dixie! Hope to see you there.

Note from Francis:

In our last letter I gave you the name of the hotel where we will be staying. It is the Holiday Inn Historic District/Downtown at 301 Government Street, Mobile Alabama. Their phone number is 251-694-0100 for reservations. To get the reunion discount you must use the code “JFR”. The deadline for hotel registration is 10 April 2015. If for any reason you are checking in after that date, please call Priscilla Knight, our treasurer, at 228-327-3469, for help in getting the discounted rooms.

Our Friday night dinner will be Alabama BBQ and all the trimmings. The cost is $25.00 per person and our HOJJ policy is children ten years old and under eats for free. Saturday night dinner will be Chicken Marsala or baked fish (spicy New Orleans style) as entrees. Again, you must call or write Priscilla so that we can have what you want for that meal. The cost is $30.00 for Saturday. When you are dealing with catering affairs, you have a dead line. We have to have your request no later than 15 April for the meals. We can-not add any meals after that date, so if you are planning on being at the reunion, let Priscilla know. You will pay when you register in our hospitality room.

So ladies, get that Southern style hat out and gents, find you a bow-tie for Saturday night but as you all that attend know this is not a requirement, just more fun! Hope to see all of you in Mobile.

Where did the two years go since Hendersonville NC? We are ready for Mobile Alabama and are hoping you are also getting ready. In the last news letter we gave you the cost of the hotel rooms at $120.00 and that does include all taxes and breakfast each day. The hotel and staff are very nice and I do not think we could have found a better place where we can park our cars and not leave the hotel for anything unless we wish to. If you are not sure about being able to come and not get a room before the 10 April cut-off date, call me at 228-327-3469 or email me at pkni@att.net and I will be able to help out. Please let me know if you are planning on attending both nights and what you wish to eat on the Saturday night as I must let the caterer know no later than 15 April. We want you to be able to eat when you come!!!

I always push the dues for the HOJJ. They are $30.00 for two years! That helps pay for postage and other supplies to get these letters out to you. Here is hoping I hear from each of the 256 HOJJ names I have on our list that you are coming to Mobile Alabama in April!!

For our HOJJ families that have not attended any of our reunions, on Saturday night we have an auction to raise money for HOJJ to help with expenses when doing reunions. So clean out your “stuff” and find what you can live without and bring/donate to the cause! This is always so much fun and a good way to help without costing a lot of money.
