Shelby Cranford Josey

SALISBURY - Mrs. "Shelby" Jean Cranford Josey, 70, of Salisbury, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2013, at The Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House in Winston-Salem.

Shelby was born Aug. 1, 1942, in Rowan County, the daughter of the late Marshall Eli Cranford, who passed away on Sept. 6, 1997, and Evelyn Morgan Cranford, who passed away Feb. 23, 2013.

Shelby was in the first graduating class at East Rowan High School in 1960. She was a member of Union Lutheran Church and was a Lay Minister for the Church. Shelby had sold Avon for 10 years before working at Ruby's Bridal Shop.

Survivors include husband Carl Alexander Josey, who she married on June 19, 1960; daughter Cindy Josey Stiller and husband Jimmy of Salisbury; grandson Joshua Stiller and wife Angela; granddaughter Amanda Earnhardt and husband Kenny; and great-grandson Jackson Stiller, all of Salisbury.
